Save the Dillo!

It’s incredibly useful for me to have Austin’s Dillo service as a resident and an employee downtown.  I used it twice already today and will likely use it again for lunch.  It goes north and south on Congress Avenue and east and west on 5th/6th streets.  The most appealing feature of it is its regularity–I’ve never waited more than five minutes for one, and the ride is quick.  It saves me a lot of time, idling, parking, etc.

Unfortunately, Dillo service could get cut for weekends.  Capital Metro is having public meetings to discuss this and other proposed service cuts.

  1. The dillo is great. I wish they still ran all the way down to Oltorf. That was a big help and kept me from having to take the #1 bus home.
